The TransparentAid Platform

TransparentAid is designed as an open source aid transparency platform. The platform was borne out of a frustration at the lack of easily accessible aid transparency mechanisms.

The three main aims of the platform are:

• Real time monitoring of effectiveness metrics and key performance indicators
• Participatory assessments through social monitoring and evaluation
• Citizen outreach mechanisms to improve project accessibility

Features will include:

• Rich data visualisation of aggregate publically-available data on aid expenditure at the global, regional, country and project level.
• Data dashboards on key aid data.
• Unique social monitoring and engineering functions that allow local and participatory assessments of aid expenditure.
